GAP Solutions Inc General Maintenance Worker in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii
Position Objective: Provide the garrison with trained personnel to provide management of billeting and facilities services at Area X, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. This may require work outside normal duty hours including 24-hour operations and shift work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage, schedule, process and de-conflict billeting requests for Reserve/NG annual training exercises.
Provides guidance, and recommendations to Senior Leaders on facilities usage requirements, restrictions, space allocation, and other key points for the type of training being conducted at the mobilization site.
Maintain the facilities assigned to support mobilization, deployment, demobilization and installation field training and common use buildings. Manage space allocation and maintain the facilities to a self-help level while coordinating higher level maintenance and repairs with Directorate of Public Works (DPW).
Manages billeting operations by removing and replacing furnishings, maintaining serviceability conditions and inspection services of buildings and assign unit billets when advance parties arrive.
Provide life support, custodial, and life cycle equipment replacements. Issue and turn in rooms and linen, order billet supplies and equipment for mobilizing/demobilizing units. Prepare and maintain real property records.
Submit work orders and prepare estimates for repairs and general maintenance of buildings. Utilize the Integrated Facilities System (IFS) database.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be able to successfully pass company and customer background investigation
