These positions are located at Leisure Travel Services on Schofield Barracks and Fort Shafter, HI.

This is a standing register announcement with an initial cutoff date of 04/12/2018. Positions are to be filled as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Assists patrons by providing information concerning available leisure activities, selling tickets, making reservations and arranging for special accommodations required for tours, sporting events, theaters and special events.
  • Provides full assistance to individuals planning travel itineraries not requiring commercial transportation, including hotel reservations and other local service or information.
  • Maintains brochures, price listings and related information for customer use.
  • Receives payment, issues receipts and documents business transactions. Performs related administrative support duties.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position

Qualifications

Minimum Qualfications:

  1. Experience which involved dealing with the general public and performing financial transactions.

Best Qualified:

  1. Work experience and knowledge of all the Hawaiian Islands to include the ability to advise customers on where to stay, what to see, and what to do on the island.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in booking travel arrangements with airlines, hotels, car rentals, and cruise lines by way of telephone or online.
  3. Proven work experience in booking local attractions in Hawaii.
  4. Demonstrated work experience in effective communication skills with the customer, reservations telephone line and advising all travel guidelines and requirements
  5. Outstanding customer service
  6. One (1) year work experience with computer programs, POS systems, or reservation systems
  7. Ability to type 40 words per minute
